District 11 Business Meeting
October 24th 2013 - Minutes
Treasures Report -
No deposits. Expenditures going to Halloween Dance $350.00.
Big Book Ticket sales $380.00, Chris F. sold $50.00 and Alyce sold $80.00 worth of tickets. Lunch Bunch donated a check for $23.00.
Motion to amend the treasures report from $623.08 minus $90.00 that should be in the events funds leaving a new balance of $533.08. Discussion. Motion is passed. Mitzi needs to be reimbursed for Spirit Mountain Assembly $219.45. Reciepts were given to Glenn for her reimbursement.
Intergroup Representative – Report - Currently in the greater Portland Area we have about 440 AA Groups with a total of 735 AA Meetings a week. About 44% of the groups are currently donating to intergroup. The national average is about 47%. Only 11 of 34 donate from District 11.
The 11 Groups that are contributing from District 11 to Intergroup are A Way Out Group, ABC Group, Came to Believe, Gresham Lunch Bunch, Red Eye Special, Shine At Nine, Sho-Gro Group, Sunday Night Closed
Bi-Laws Committee – No Report not in attendance.
Grapevine – Free Shipping starting Nov. thru Dec. Buy one Scrpition and get the next one 50% off. 1-800-631-6025. Subscription arrived $29.97 needs to be paid. Michael is stepping down from Grapevine representative position.
Consistent hits a month. No other groups responded to put there minutes on website. Peter is going to make a PDF to make copy of minutes from website.
Events Coordinator – Halloween Dance $150.00 DJ, $50.00 goes to Mary for catering, Decorations $ 15.00 and $135.00 is left in the fund however we still owe for room provided for Halloween Dance cost is $170.00.
Motion for Halloween Dance all monies over will go into the events fund.
January 18th 2014 is available for Winter Unity Picnic at Mountain View. The cost will be $250.00 for space. No decision is made on keeping date debating a new venue to hold event. Need a copy of last year’s expense report for event.
Open Mic on New Year’s Shawn will be helping Chris on event. Shawn has volunteered to help Chris as alternate Events Coordinator.
Need to sell as many tickets for Big Book as possible.
Kelli will be donating a basket for Halloween Dance.
Motion to table the discussion on date and venue of Winter Unity Picnic. Motion passed. Suggested to have Committee Meeting November 3, 2013 at 1:15 p.m. At ECAC.

We need an Archivist. Motion to elect Lori B. as an Archivist. Discussion. Motion passed. Motion for Jim to be Alternate Intergroup Representative. Motion passed.
New Business -
Grapevine position is open. Motion to table grapevine position and take out to groups for new grapevine representative. Motion passed. Motion table the subscription of grapevine until we get a new grapevine representative. Motion passed.
Monies needed from groups for DCM representatives to go to assembles. Michael offered to go to Grand’s Pass Assembly and save the group money since he will be visited family during that time. February assembly Medford still a concern for monies needed.
Scholarships needs monies please ask groups.

Lunch Bunch – Attendance has picked up at meeting.
