December 26th District 11 Business Meetings - MinutesTreasures Report:
Beginning balance $1,852.56 - Deposits $116.00 - $90.00 from Came to Believe Group and $26.00 from 7th tradition District 11 Business Meeting on November 21st - Expenditures $1,324.97 General Fund – Beginning $372.56 – Ending $368.59 Event Fund – Beginning $1048.00 – Ending $275.00 Balance $643.59 DCM Report: Organization of the Winter Unity Picnic event on January 18, 2014 progress is moving right along. Assembly meeting in Medford dates are February 21 - 23 at Medford Red Lion. There will be elections on that weekend. Not a lot to report. Committee Reports: Intergroup – Not in attendance Webmaster – The website is going good. There an average of 53 hits a day. A total of 1590 hits for the month. Intergroup liked our website so much they want Peter’s help. Events – Kim is in charge of the food, Donny is the DJ, Michael and Carol are in charge of adult games, and Donna and Lindsey are head of decorating. Each event group has been given their funds for the Winter Unity Picnic. The next Winter Unity Picnic committee meeting is scheduled for January 5th at 1:15 p.m. at ECAC. Report accepted. Prisons – Curtis is still rounding up all the information needed for the prisons. Old Business – Motion to work on bi-laws next month. Motion accepted. New Business – GSR School can be held locally. GSR School is an opportunity to get together and learn what entails GSR duties. It is presented with a Power Point presentation. There is a lot to learn. This is an all-day event. Bob will find out when dates are available. Michael suggests in March sometime. District 11 is interested in holding an event; however, all Districts are welcome. Talk of using either ECAC or URS for the event. Motion to table it until next month. Motion accepted. Question regarding sponsorship for assembly. Checking our funds, going to see what we receive from Unity Picnic. Two scholarships are given from Area. We are going to accept those two scholarships from Area. Motion for 50/50 raffle at Unity Picnic event. Motion accepted. Fellowship event planning. GSR First Step Group – Curtis – Building group up. Hole In The Wall – Alabama John – good Think about Group – Russell – Vote our business at 8:30 p.m. 2nd Tuesday of the month after intergroup meeting. Lots of involvement with District. Good turnout. Going by the bi-laws and wants to contribute appropriately to groups. 11:59 – John – Meetings good wants to contribute to groups lots of new comers Way Out Group – Mark – Mark is stepping down and Chris is the new GSR and John is the Alternate. The meeting room was changed at Mt. View Church. Note – Carol is GSR for Willingness Will Work Group – New comers attending meetings at the club – Want to donate to District – lots of support – Donate books to CODA Came To Believe – Bob – Splits the costs for books for in-treatment – lots of new comers, contribute to District regularly. Has a prudent reserve. Come To and Believe – John John – Group is doing astounding lots of new comers strong meeting – average 16 people at meeting that is held at 6:30 am URS, morning meeting serves cinnamon rolls. Keys of the Kingdom – Kelli – Not in attendance. Alternate Secretary – Motion for Tony to be alternate secretary. Motion Accepted. February 1st sponsorship event in Gladstone – Looking for someone to represent for District 11 – Willingness Will Work will contribute $25.00 to help representative to go to assembly. Motion to have Came to Believe Group’s $25.00 to go to sponsorship event. Accepted. 7th Tradition is being passed.
